The USRRC Story unfolds
I posted the following on my Dead Pedal Press facebook page and for those who choose to not go there, I am putting the same info here.
I still have a few copies of USRRC left. There are about 3 left without the bumper box for $85. The rest are $100 for media mail shipping, or $115 for Priority Mail shipping. If you're interested, send payment via Paypal to: grimeheel62@wavecable.com. Or send a check to Mike Martin, 910 Secord Ct., Camano Island, WA 98282.
Since there are few copies left, I'm going to start posting the text of the book, probably a race a week. I'm going to start off by posting the Acknowledgements and Photo Acknowledgements pages, followed by the Intro to the book, the Intro to the 1963 season and the first race at Daytona. Enjoy.

In the between post time, I am continuing to work on the history of the Shadow Racing Team for Dalton Watson Fine Books.

Labor Day Special - 1963 Laguna Seca USRRC
Here's a sample of what's in my book "A Record of the USRRC". Charlie Parsons won the '63 Laguna Seca race in his father-in-law's Lotus 23. It was a great race and I thank my friend, Allen Kuhn for letting me use his wonderful photos.
In anticipation of Labor Day, I'm offering a special price of $90 for a brand new copy of my book shipped via media mail. Send via Paypal to: grimeheel62@wavecable.com. Will ship the next working day. Or feel free to send a check to: Mike Martin, 910 Secord Ct., Camano Island WA 98282-7663.
Here is the front cover of the book.

How lucky do you feel? Below is a $45 chance to win a lifetime subscription to the best Grand Prix magazine on the face of the earth.
Win a lifetime subscription to GP+
January 26, 2016 by Joe Saward
I don’t know if you have noticed, but GP+ has a bit of a promotion going on..
Read the following…
We were watching the recent US lottery and noticed that people like to dream about getting something of value with a little help from Lady Luck. So, we thought, why not offer a life-time subscription (that goes for your life and the life of GP+) to anyone who subscribes to the magazine for 2016 (the archives not count) in the course of the next seven days.
The deadline for entries in this lottery will be 11.00 GMT on Tuesday, February 2. And the winner will be picked soon afterwards and informed immediately. We will also publicise the name of the winner, unless the person has any real objection to the idea. The winner will then get his or her 2016 subscription refunded and access to the magazine for free from then onwards until either party dies.
If you have already bought a subscription for 2016, don’t worry, you can buy a gift subscription and the buyer (rather than the gift recipient) will be entered in the lottery.
Please feel free to circulate this information to all your friends in racing. The prize, by the way, is not transferable.
Let the sales begin…

2014 SOVREN Pacific Northwest Historic Races
Fourth of July weekend is upon us. As usual I will be at Pacific Raceways for the big vintage race weekend of the year to report on the races and to promote my USRRC book. Victory Lane magazine is hosting me at their tent, where I will be selling and signing copies of my book. If you are interested in vintage sports car racing, I hope you will come out to the races (proceeds benefit Childrens Hospital), stop by the Victory Lane tent at the end of vendor row and say "Hi".
